Faith Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Our beliefs, teachings, and practices are in harmony with them.
The Bible is God’s inspired Word and is without error. It clearly reveals God’s only plan of salvation for mankind
God is three persons in one: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Our lives are built on Christ Jesus who suffered and died for the sins of all people.
Jesus victoriously defeated death and the powers of evil when He rose from the dead on Easter morning.
All who repent and seek Christ’s forgiveness will be forgiven by God and reconciled to God.
Faith is given to us and nurtured by God’s Holy Spirit.
Baptism is God’s way of bringing us into His family and giving us His gifts of eternal life.
The study of God’s Word is important for us to understand the mind of God and live according to His ways.
The Lord’s Supper is a way by which God draws us close to Himself, giving us forgiveness, life, and salvation.
Our obedience to God is a grateful response for His love toward us and our salvation won by Christ Jesus.
All believers in Christ have the assurance of eternal life with God and with one another in heaven.
A special note on Holy Communion
Our congregation believes that Holy Communion is a gift of Christ to His Holy Church. Because of what Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions teach, we request that those who wish to commune here:
1. Be baptized Christians who recognize their sin and come in true repentance. (Romans 6:1-4, 11-14)
2. Believe that through the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus, God forgives our sins. (John 3:16)
3. Believe that in and with the bread and wine, we receive in a miraculous way the real Body and Blood of Christ for the forgiveness of our sins and strengthening of our faith. (1 Cor 10:16 and 11:23-29)
4. Recognize that participation in this meal at Faith indicates a public agreement with the Lutheran understanding of God’s Word and a oneness in the Lutheran faith with fellow communicants. (1 Cor 10:16-17)
If you disagree with, or are unaware of, the teachings of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, or have any doubts or question, we respectfully ask that you visit with Pastor before communing here at Faith the first time.
